“If we can find the right player, this will be one of the deepest rosters in the association,” says a source within the Sixers organization.
One option for the Sixers is Marcus Morris, a player they are already familiar with. Morris had a brief stint with the team last season before being traded to the Indiana Pacers as part of a larger deal. Despite being waived and signing with the Cavs, Morris could still be a valuable asset to the Sixers, bringing toughness, rebounding, and scoring to the table.
Another potential free agency option is Robert Covington, who the Sixers acquired in a trade last October. Covington, known for his defensive prowess, was sidelined by injury mid-season. “Finney-Smith is a solid defender and a reliable stretch forward,” explains a league analyst. “His scoring potential could skyrocket as one of the top offensive options on the Nets’ roster.”
